A beautifully designed chalet nestled in the Shenandoah Mountains with three bedrooms, a dedicated office space, an indoor wood-burning fireplace, with games and activities for the entire family, both inside and outside.

You’ll be less than 5 minutes away from Bryce Resort, which offers skiing, tubing, and mountain biking. Lake Laura is only 10 minutes away for water sports and hiking with a view.

The Space

Set the vibe with a classic record on our record player, start the fireplace and cozy up on our comfy couches. Get inspired by your adventures and create a culinary masterpiece in our fully stocked kitchen after a day among the mountains. Enjoy the camaraderie and competition of board games, foosball, darts and then unwind and rewind to a simpler time with smores around the outdoor firepit, or a beverage of your choice on the porch as the sun sets.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

You’ll find many perks and amenities at our self-check-in Southern Charm Chalet. One of our favorites is being pet-friendly! We welcome up to 2 pets if you have fur babies and charge $75 per pet per stay. Please let us know that you’ll be bringing your pets with you. We don’t provide firewood and ask guests to bring their own if you’re planning on using the wood burning fireplace or the wood burning fire pit. Other amenities included are:

“The location of this home is amazing! Especially if you plan to do anything at the lake or the resort. Parking was easy and made loading and unloading a breeze. The home is very kid friendly and would be a great spot for 2 families to split (upstairs and downstairs). While there is a lot to keep you entertained and relaxed within the cabin, there is also a lot to do around!

  • You’ll be 3.8 miles away or a 10-minute drive to Lake Laura. The lake features a small hiking trail that wraps around the entire lake. Lake Laura is beautiful any time of year. During the warmer months, you can rent paddleboats, paddleboards, kayaks, and tubes from the Beach Shack located on the lake.

  • Bryce Resort is less than a mile or only 3-minute drive, offering winter sports, mountain biking, an 18-hole golf course and a scenic lift. Weather permitting, the facility is open year-round. During the winter, you’ll find skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating, and snow tubing.

    If you’re in the mood to really explore everything the surroundings have to offer, we recommend exploring:

  • Kennedy Peak Trail, offering 360 views from a fire tower at the summit (43 min drive).

  • For a lower intensity activity check out Cave Ridge Vineyard (15 mins) for a local glass, or bottle, of wine.

  • Swover Creek Farm Brewery (14 mins) for a pint and a farm to table sausage or wood fired pizza.

  • If you’re in the mood for a half day or a day trip, Harrisonburg (43 min), Luray Caverns (43 min), and Shenandoah National Park (51 min) are all just the right amount of road trip away!
